Latest CEC draw in Canada: 3,000 applicants with lowest CRS scores invited in 10 months

Canada’s Express Entry system is also moving forward in 2025, where Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has invited 3,000 applicants under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) in its latest draw held on July 8.

What is notable this time is the CRS cut-off score – set at 518, which is the minimum score required in CEC draws since September 2024.

To be considered, candidates were required to create their Express Entry profile before 1:48 a.m. (UTC) on October 2, 2024.

This draw took place shortly after the PNP-specific round held on July 7, further reinforcing the pattern adopted by IRCC in recent months – alternating between PNP and CEC-focused selections.

This year’s Express Entry draws have been primarily focused on Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates. As of this latest round, IRCC has sent out 45,201 Invitations to Apply (ITAs).
