Why You Should Enter the Express Entry Pool, Even with a Low CRS Score
Some candidates may hesitate to apply if their CRS score seems low. However, there are strong reasons to enter the Express Entry pool as soon as possible:
1. CRS Scores Fluctuate Over Time
The required CRS score changes frequently. What might be considered low today could be sufficient in a future draw.
2. Tie-Breaking Rule Advantages
Candidates who enter the pool earlier may have an advantage due to the tie-breaking rule. This means if two candidates have the same CRS score, the one who applied first has a better chance of receiving an ITA.
3. Improve Your CRS Score Over Time
While in the pool, you can work on improving your CRS score by:
- Increasing your language proficiency (IELTS, CELPIP)
- Gaining additional work experience
- Pursuing further education or credential assessments
4. Explore Additional Immigration Pathways
Being in the Express Entry pool allows you to be considered for multiple pathways, such as PNP streams and regional pilot programs, increasing your chances of getting an ITA.
